Utility Data Software

eSIM is a global specification developed by the GSMA that provides remote SIM card provisioning for any mobile device. Goldcard
eSIM provisioning supports Bluetooth write-in function and multi-number storage. Message can be delivered between the NB-IoT
Module and SM-DP+ over Bluetooth.

NB-IoT&Sub-G Dual-Mode Solution

IoT products can transmit data services via NB-IoT networks or Sub-G network.

NB-IoT (Narrowband-Internet of Things) is a wireless communication standard designed to connect a massive number of simple, low-data devices to the internet efficiently.

Sub-GHz refers to wireless commu-nication that uses radio frequen cies below one gigahertz (1 GHz). This slice of the radio spectrum is particularly valued for its excellent range and ability to penetrate obstacles like walls and buildings.

Sub-GHz Advantages

  • Superior Range and Penetration
Lower frequency waves travel farther and pass through physical objects (like concrete walls and floors) more effectively than higher frequency signals (like Wi-Fi at 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz).
  • Low Power Consumption
Devices operating in the Sub-GHz band can be highly power-efficient, allowing them to run on small batteries for many years. This is crucial for “set-and-forget” IoT sensors.
  • Less Interference
The Sub-GHz bands are often less crowded than the popular 2.4 GHz band (used by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.), leading to more reliable communication with less signal interference.

The Sub-GHz frequency band is ideal for Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWANs) because it offers excellent range and penetration through obstacles with minimal power. Several competing technologies have been developed to leverage these advantages for various IoT applications like LoRaWan, Zeta, Weightless-P and Wireless-M Bus.
